Kneip celebrates International Women’s Day 2022
Today Kneip is celebrating International Women’s Day, to raise awareness against gender bias and collectively #BreakTheBias
As part of this year’s celebrations, we are delighted to welcome Professor Ghada Hashem Talhami as a guest speaker at an internal talk on the status of women in the Arab world following the Arab spring.
Professor Talhami is the D. K. Pearsons Professor of Politics, emerita, at Lake Forest College, Chicago. She was born in Amman, Jordan, to Palestinian parents and was educated in Jordan, Great Britain, and the US. She is the author of many articles and seven books, among which The Mobilization of Muslim Women in Egypt, Dictionary of Women in the Middle East and North Africa, and American Presidents and Jerusalem. She was a Fulbright Scholar in Syria and taught in Tunisia, Syria, Chicago’s School of the Art Institute, and California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. She serves on several editorial boards of academic journals.
